5 At-Home Workouts You’ll Actually Enjoy

Fun and easy workouts anyone can do and will actually enjoy!

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you are all safe and well. Today I wanted to share some at-home workouts I have been enjoying. I know getting up and exercising right now can be a challenge, but it is important that we still stay active and moving! I was never a fan of working out until I found something I enjoy doing.

There are so many ways to stay active like pilates, yoga, weight training, Zumba, and so many other options! I personally love video workouts because it makes me feel like I’m not doing it alone, so that’s what I’m sharing today! These are my top 5 favorite at-home workouts! Perfect for every day of the week, apartment friendly, and no equipment needed.

Here is everything I use for an at-home workout!

yoga mat // water bottle // leggings // sports bra

1. Cardio With Your Favorite Song

I recently discovered Maddie or Madfit on Youtube and I’m obsessed. She has a series on her channel where she takes popular songs and makes a choreographed at-home workout routine with them! They are so fun, especially if she does one of your favorite songs! She has routines that target different parts of the body like abs and butt with no equipment needed. I like to do a few of them for a full total body workout.ย

2. Pilates

I’ve been following Cassey Ho or Blogilates on Youtube since 2013. I originally started watching her because I wanted to get in shape. I continued following her because she is optimistic, body positive and honestly fun to workout with! She currently has a series of at-home workouts that are apartment friendly and no equipment needed. You’ll honestly enjoy working out with her because she distracts you from the pain by constantly talking to you (lol).

3. Dance Workout

When I don’t feel like doing a “real workout” like crunches and weights, I love dancing! POPSUGAR Fitness has a ton of dance workouts to choose from. They’re fun, easy to follow and get you sweating! These make you feel like you’re in a dance studio learning a choreographed dance. If you enjoy dancing or non-traditional workouts then you’ll love these.

4. Total Body

My favorite workout duo Karena and Katrina also known as Tone It Up on Youtube. They’re best friends and business partners working out and living a healthy lifestyle. Every year they have a Bikini Series that you have to pay for but they took some of their favorite moves and combined them it into this video! It’s a mix of HIIT, abs, booty, arms, and stretching. I love their personalities and fun workout routines. This video has weights but you can substitute them for a something heavy in your house, like a book! If you’re looking into buying weights, they actually have their own cute brand of them here.

5. Yoga for Anxiety

Fridays are my chill days where I just do some yoga. Adriene or Yoga with Adriene on Youtube is my favorite for at-home yoga. Her voice is so calming, her talks are insightful and her doggy is so cute! It’s important that we give our bodies a rest to recover and build muscle. If you’ve never tried yoga before then I highly suggest you do! It relieves anxiety and stress, stretches out the body and focuses on breathing. Perfect way to end a stressful week.

  1. I have been doing Pure Barre at home since the quarantine. While I am grateful for that, I discovered that I really do not like working out at home. However, I may try a couple of your suggestions just to break up the monotony. The dance one sounds fun and yoga for anxiety might be nice to do on Saturday. Well done.

  2. I love these ideas. Working out is important for not only our physical health but for our emotional and mental health as well. Thank you for sharing these ideas.

  3. Great suggestions. I have been loving the dance workout trend! It’s such a fun way to encourage people to get up and get moving. Anything that can encourage people to embrace a healthier lifestyle is a huge win in my book.

  4. I love Madfit, I just discovered her fall of last year. I also love the tone it up gals.
It’s amazing how many awesome workouts are online!
