5 Things I Loved This Month – October Favorites

5 things I loved this month.ย  Beauty products you need in your life. + I chopped off my hair.

Happy Monday, everyone! Today I wanted to share with you all my top 5 favorite things this October. These are products I have been using for a while and honestly can’t live without now. Everything is super affordable and linked to make it easier to shop! Enjoy!

1. Facial Hair Remover

Okay this favorite is a game changer, and a MONEY SAVER! This little facial shaver saves me $7 every month from going to the salon to get my upper lip done. It easily and effortlessly gets rid of unwanted hair on the face. No pain, no bumps, no redness and no cuts! It’s only $16.99 (on sale!) and is well worth it! I no longer have to take the time to go to the salon and I can use it whenever I want. This gadget is very necessary if you find waxing or threading painful, or get red afterwards. It’s super easy to use. When you turn it on it has a light so you can easily see and you just start shaving in tiny circles. I use this right before I put on makeup to get rid of peach fuzz. This is definitely a ride or die product!

2. Aromatherapy Body Lotion- Eucalyptus & Spearmint

It’s almost November, so cue dry skin season. My body and hands get SO DRY during the Fall and Winter time that lotion is a must! This isn’t the most nourishing but it’s perfect for when I want something that smells good and keeps my hands moisturized. I know it’s a body lotion, but I just take one pump and put it on my hands and arms. Then I breathe in three times to smell the eucalyptus and spearmint oils. This favorite is a must if you’re feeling stressed because I believe aromatherapy is a natural way to calm the body and mind.ย

3. Wet & Dry Brush

Everyone needs to throw away their old brush and get themselves a wet brush, IMMEDIATELY. If your hair easily gets tangled and have trouble brushing it out, it’s because of your brush. Regular brushes have a lot of short bristles, while a wet brush doesn’t have as many bristles and the bristles are longer. This makes your hair flow right through the bristles, detangling as it goes; perfect for wet hair. I loved it when I had long hair. It saved me so much time and prevented my hair from being ripped out every time I tried to brush my hair. It also prevents your hair from breakage, so it’s perfect if you’re trying to grow out your hair. Literally my favorite brush now!

4. Scrunchies

I swear I used to wear these when I was younger. Crazy how trends always make a come back. Scrunchies are used for trendy purposes but they also prevent your hair from breakage. If you find that the regular hair tie is too tight or painful, then you need a scrunchie ASAP. I hated sleeping with a hair tie in my hair, but my hair was so long I had to. It was so painful trying to take it off in the morning and it hurt my scalp from having it up for eight hours. Scrunchies prevent all of that nonsense from happening. I no longer wake up with a painful scalp and find that my hair breaks significantly less! Cute, affordable and beneficial. It’s become such a favorite that I now use it everyday!

5.Chopping Off My Hair

This was definitely a favorite this month. I decided to chop off all my hair. I mean, I literally chopped it on my own. I wanted to be the one who cut off 12 inches off my hair and it was so fucking liberating. I loved the way it turned out! I can’t believe I waited this long to finally do it and I don’t regret anything. If you’ve been thinking of making the big cut, then I would highly recommend you do! I know society has implemented this idea that women need to have long hair to be beautiful but I feel sexy as hell. I always try to take a step back from society standards and do what makes me happy. I also donated the hair to Locks of Love, so someone else can enjoy it. Here is a before and after from my instagram @imerikamarie.
