September was probably the fastest month by far this year. I have no idea what even happened, besides me binge-watching Love Island U.S. I also tested some new products I bought and these were the 5 things I loved this month!
1. Silicone Facial Cleanser
Before I started using this my face was looking rough, to say the least. It was dull, had a lot of texture, and was in desperate need of a deep cleanse. I’ve read a lot of articles that said using a physical exfoliant (like a scrub) is too harsh on the skin and shouldn’t be used regularly, so I stopped exfoliating. Instead, I only used this chemical exfoliant every 2 weeks. Eventually, I needed something more.
Now I use this silicone facial cleanser and it has brought my skin back to life! I get a deep cleanse, soft exfoliation, and message all in one! It has 8 adjustable intensity levels and fine, medium, and thick bristles. Also, it’s a USB charge with a long battery life.
I use it 3 times a week to get rid of the dead skin and I feel and look renewed after every time.
Highly recommend getting a silicone brush because it carries fewer bacteria.
2. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen
Beauty influencers talked me into trying this and I have to say, it’s really good! It’s silicone-based so it feels like a primer and easily blends into the skin. It’s translucent so no white residue (refer to the second photo). It has a very light sunscreen scent that fades away quickly.
It is a pricey sunscreen but it’s the only one I found that looks really good under makeup. I like using this on days where I’m going to be out all day and wearing makeup.
3. Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer
I am not a foundation person. I hate the feeling of something on my face and I honestly do not prefer the look of it either. I have dry skin with dry spots and foundation just seems to make me look drier.
This tinted moisturizer has hyaluronic acid and coconut water so it’s perfect for those with dry skin!
It feels very lightweight on the skin but still provides light-to-medium coverage. Easily blends into the skin and is a natural finish. It’s perfect for those of you who don’t like foundation but still want a little extra something.
p.s. I wore this with a mask on all day and it didn’t transfer on it!
4. Rosehip Oil
I’ve been using rosehip for two years now and it’s something that’s always in my skincare routine. It’s perfect for dry skin, gets rid of dark spots, and overall brightens the appearance of your skin.
It’s thick but still runny, has a mild scent that I didn’t like at first but got used to, and has a slight orange tint to it.
I first spray my face with this toner and then add one or two drops of the oil onto my face and neck. It should be applied to moist skin and only use a little or else it might clog your pores. You can use it on its own or add it to your moisturizer.
I only apply this at night because it’s thick, but when I wake up in the morning it’s fully absorbed into the skin leaving it soft and moisturized!
p.s. I randomly found this at Marshall’s, so if I’m lucky I can find one there! If not, I will be purchasing this one instead.
5. Adidas Hoops 2.0 Sneakers
I know I’m late on the white sneaker trend but better late than never. White sneakers literally go with any outfit you have. They are comfy and cute. My feet don’t get tired midday. I mean, what more do I want from a shoe.
These run a little big, so I got a half size smaller but honestly could’ve even gone one whole size smaller. I don’t mind them being a little big though because I plan on wearing thick socks with them in the Wintertime.
To clean, I use a Mr.Clean magic eraser and they come out brand new!

I’ll just saw wow. I am actually going to be ordering two of these items mentioned, possibly three. I am not a make-up wearer at all and am in need of some exfoliating. With Covid AND being displaced from hurricane Laura, I feel the desperate need for some TLC. This blog post was refreshing and resonated with me, ALL the way down to the Adidas!

I’m dying to try the Pretty Fresh tinted moisturiser as well, only afraid I won’t be able to get my shade right as I’m awful with picking shades! I do love my Foreo, I got the tiniest cheapest one to try and it’s actually really good, but I don’t think I could justify getting the full sized one. Your alternative looks really good!

That unseen sunscreen is the best!! Great finds!

I’m so glad to hear that you liked the pretty fresh foundation! I have to say that if I moisturize and everything before hand, I really like it. If I don’t put enough moisture on my face beforehand, then my skin ends up looking super dry! I’ve been really liking the maybelline bb cream though, it also has some mineral sunscreen in it as well! Great post of favorites xx

Hey Erika Marie,
Yess! September past by just like a blink of an eye. Literally.
All I know, I was binge-watching girlfriends and ran a few errands each day, and then BOOM, tomorrow we are in October.
I’ve been doing some research on Rosehip oil and read many great reviews. I will include this one in my facial regimen.
Thank you for sharing!

Good product suggestions! I have never purchased a separate sunscreen for my face, I just use a tinted CC cream that contains 50 SPF sunscreen. I wonder if I should add another layer of sunscreen underneath. As for my favorite September buys, I will say the Peter Thomas Roth pure vitamin C treatment and moisturizer has worked pretty well, but I do not like the smell at all. Also, I bought a bunch of legging shorts from Forever 21 since it is still hot here in L.A. that are so comfortable to wear around the house. They came just in time for these heatwaves! Also, I bought two eco-friendly utensil sets from a blogger that I love! They are made from bamboo and include your own reusable straw and brush to clean it with, chopsticks, 2 spoon sizes, a fork and knife. It comes in a nice carrying case that you throw in a picnic basket or lunch box. I think I will order a couple more. And yes, September FLEW by! ?
