These are the best & only skincare products that saved my dry skin.
Happy Monday, everyone. It’s finally cold here in California! This also means that the air is getting drier, therefore, my skin is getting dry. Luckily, over the years I have been testing multiple products to help with my dry skin and I found some of the best skincare products! These have honestly saved my skin and I’m excited to share them with you.
EYES:
Kiehl’s creamy eye treatment with avocado
This is the most moisturizing eye cream I’ve ever tried. I only use this at night because the product is so thick that it takes a while to sink into the skin. When I wake up in the morning my under eyes are smooth, soft and ready for concealer lol. It almost acts as an overnight eye mask that’s very moisturizing. I honestly even think this eye cream has smoothed out my fine lines! Love this product and it’s super affordable for being a high-end skincare product!
FACE:
Rosehip oil
If you’re looking for something that is 100% pure and organic, then you should try rosehip oil. You only need a tiny amount to cover your whole face and let it sit overnight. In the morning, your face feels deeply nourished and soft! The scent was not my favorite at first, but I got used to it. It is natural so there are no chemicals or fragrances in it. You can even dilute the oil by mixing it with your moisturizer.
Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser
This is perfect for those with sensitive and dry skin. It’s gentle, mild and doesn’t leave your skin stripped of oil. You actually want to have some oil left on your face because it’s what keeps the skin naturally moisturized. It’s a soap-free cleanser meaning it won’t dry out your skin. I used to use the regular version of this cleanser and it left my skin super dry and stripped of oils. This leaves my skin soft and healthy. It’s even mild enough to use on babies!
Thayers witch hazel aloe vera formula – unscented
This is something I just started using this year and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been researching different skincare routines and all of them have toner in it. This specific toner is all-natural and helps with keeping the skin looking healthy, moisturized and protects from airborne impurities. It’s also alcohol and fragrance free which is super important when it comes to dry skin. Alcohol toners dry out the skin which is not what us dry-skin folk want. To use: I put this in a spray bottle and spray it on my face right after I come out of the shower.
BODY:
Aveeno lotion
Okay, this lotion is so thick and nourishing! The bottle says it’s 24-hour moisture and that’s honestly true. I’ll put this on at night and still feel it on my skin until the next day. It’s fragrance-free which I like because I’m not a huge fan of scents, especially in the morning. It’s not greasy at all but still goes on smooth. Best lotion I’ve tried so far for my dry skin because it keeps my skin glowy, creamy and soft all day.
body scrub
Body scrub is so important when it comes to dry skin. It’s important to get rid of the dead skin on top so the products you put on can penetrate into the skin every time. It leaves your skin glowing, soft and so smooth. I like to exfoliate right before I’m going to shave so I can get the best results and avoid ingrown hairs. I exfoliate about 1-2 times a week. This is my favorite body scrub and they have so many scents to choose from!
Body soap
Picking the right soap will change the way your skin feels. I have tried soaps that were way too harsh for my skin. It made my skin feel tight and flaky, it wasn’t the vibe. I now use this soap that has truly helped my dry skin. It’s made for sensitive skin, hypoallergenic and moisturizing. It doesn’t strip your skin from all your natural oils. After using it, my skin feels soft, smooth, and not dry! This is the best soap bar I’ve ever tried.
HANDS:
OMG, my hands are so drrryyy. To save them from flaking off, I make sure to use products that are moisturizing and non-stripping. I love this hand soap all year round. It doesn’t dry out my hands as other soaps do. I typically stray away from any scented soaps because I find them drying. I’m also looking for a natural moisturizing hand soap, so if you have any suggestions please let me know!
To nourish my hands, I use and love this hand cream from Avon. Thickest hand cream I’ve ever used! My hands crack during the Fall and Winter time, and this hand cream prevents that from happening. It’s hypo-allergenic and fragrance-free (my necessities). It has hydraboost technology so it keeps my hands smooth, soft and nourished for hours.
Those are all the skincare products that saved my dry skin! Honestly, a year ago I struggled so bad with dry, flaky skin and I had no idea what to do. Once I started using gentle, mild and sensitive skin products, my skin did a whole 180. My skin is now soft, smooth and glowing! Here in California, the weather is so dry and polluted so I know these products will save your dry skin, too! I know not all these products are natural but I am more mindful on which ingredients I’m using. If you want to know my skincare routine, let me know in the comments!
