How I use my Coach notebook cover, what I added to my morning routine, and more beauty, fashion, and current favorites for January 2022.
Happy Monday, everyone! Since it’s the last day of January, I thought I would share my current favorites. I’ve been loving my Coach notebook cover, my Allbirds, and a couple of more things. Let me know your favorites in the comment section, I would love to hear them!
January 2022 Current Favorites
Coach Notebook Cover
New year, new planner, and cover! I’m obsessed with this Coach notebook cover. I originally wanted to create my own planner with planner inserts from Cloth and Paper and Etsy but soon realized that would be way too expensive! This cover perfectly fits this 5 x 8 planner from Target so I’m happy with it. The canvas cover is thick but flexible so it lays flat. The inside is smooth leather, has a pocket inside, and has a gold button closure. It’s very lightweight and even comes with a Coach notebook!
Micellar Water & Reusable Eco Pads
Instead of using makeup wipes, I started using micellar water and reusable cotton pads. I’ve always heard makeup wipes were bad for your skin, so I’ve wanted to switch for a while now. I’ve also always wanted to switch to reusable pads to reduce waste. Each pad can be used up to 1,000 times! They’re super soft and can be cleaned in the washing machine or by hand. Since they are double-sided, I found that I can’t rub the pad back and forth on my face, but it does prevent me from rubbing my face so harshly. Love using both together!
Allbirds Wool Runners – True Black
These Allbird shoes are heaven-sent. They are so comfortable and lightweight! Since they are made of wool they are super warm which is great because my feet are cold all the time! I love walking with them, working out, and running errands. They look so cute with jeans and everyday outfits. Definitely the best shoes I have ever had.
The Push by Ashley Audrain
My first book of the year and it was really good. The Push is a fiction thriller about a new mother who thinks something is wrong with her daughter, but no one believes a young child could be anything but innocent. When something devastating happens, Blythe can’t deny her daughter’s dark side. I absolutely loved this book. It was a raw and honest conversation about the good and dark side of motherhood. I rate it a 9/10! I do wish the epilogue was given from Violet’s perspective!
The Calm App
I’m fairly new to the calm app. My current health provider is giving a year of Calm premium for free, so I wanted to give it a try. I’m a very anxious person so to get me to calm down I need relaxing music and meditation guidance. The Calm app offers meditations, calming music, storytelling for sleep, daily check-ins, daily reflections and so much more. I listen to the daily calm when I’m getting ready in the morning, which I know you’re supposed to actually meditate but I thought this would be a great way to ease into it. It’s a great app, highly recommended it!
Archive 81 (Netflix)
My last favorite of the month is the new Netflix show Archive 81. My younger brother recommended it to me and I saw that it was #1 on Netflix so I had to check it out. First off, do not watch this at night! When I watched the first two episodes I thought I would start at night and let me tell you I was so creeped out I had my night light on until I fell asleep lol. It’s a show about a guy who restores old tapes and is approached by a company to restore tapes that were burned in a fire. When he is restoring them he finds disturbing footage from the 90’s about a creepy apartment with hidden secrets. It’s so good but watch during the day!
