FINALLY. A vegan, dairy-free hot chocolate recipe that tastes like the real thing. Also, it’s only 2 ingredients. PLUS, a free printable recipe card.
I love making this with a little snack at night. It has the perfect flavor of chocolate that’s not bitter or sweet. Ever since I became lactose-intolerant, I’ve been missing hot chocolate. A lot (almost all) of the packaged hot chocolates contain dairy, so I’m so happy I found a hot chocolate that I like and tastes like the real thing. Ibarra is actually a 100% Mexican product, so of course, me being Mexican-American, I support it. I also learned online that it’s vegan (meaning it doesn’t contain animal products). Although, on my box, it says “Manufactured in equipment that processes milk”, so you be the judge. I personally just needed something that didn’t have dairy in it. Now, let’s get into this easy & quick recipe.

ingredients:
• Ibarra Mexican Chocolate (2 wedges)
• 1 cup of non-dairy milk (original, unsweetened) (I use this one)
• dash of cinnamon (optional)
• dash of pure vanilla extract (optional)
You’ll Also Need:
• mug
instructions:
Start by heating up your choice of non-dairy milk (I used almond milk original, unsweetened) and 2 wedges of Ibarra Mexican Chocolate (2 wedges= 1 cup) (1 tablet= 4 cups) in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Mix constantly with a wire whisk until mixture is frothy and starts to boil. Towards the end, I like to add in a dash of cinnamon and pure vanilla extract for extra flavor. Once all the little chocolate chunks are mixed in with the non-dairy milk, it’s done! Serve and enjoy ☺️☕️
This dairy-free hot chocolate recipe is so simple and only takes six minutes! I promise it tastes just like the regular hot chocolates you buy in a package at the store, but better in my opinion. If you try out this recipe let me know how you like it in the comments!

I’m not too sure, but their website says “Genuine chocolate for its high content of cocoa paste. 100% natural ingredients.” Hope that helps!
