A wrap-up of all my 2022 favorites. My 2022 Amazon favorites, best books, my most worn clothing items, and more.
Happy last Monday of 2022! I can’t believe this year is already done. I’m honestly in shock every time I think about it. To wrap up this year, I wanted to share my top favorites that I loved all year long. From my Amazon favorites to my beauty and fashion favorites. Here are my top 22 products of 2022!
Amazon Favorites
1. Laptop Stand
Getting a laptop stand has completely changed my life. If you work or study on a laptop you need a stand. Instead of looking down at your laptop, you’re looking straight at it. This helps with posture and neck pain. I swear it’s a huge difference compared to not using one. I have an old laptop, so this prevents it from easily overheating. Also, this one has no branding which I always like with any product I buy.
2. Ice Roller
This is a game-changer if you get puffy in the mornings. You simply put the ice roller (not the handle) in the freezer overnight and roll your face in the morning. At first, it feels cold but your face immediately warms up the ice roller. It’s honestly refreshing and wakes me up in the morning. I love adding this to my morning routine when I wake up puffy from eating too much sodium the night before (LOL).
3.Fitbit Inspire
Did I really workout if I didn’t wear my Fitbit? No. When working out, it tracks how many calories you are burning, if you are burning fat or if you are in cardio (based on your heart rate), and steps! I feel like my workouts are more efficient because I’m seeing how many calories I’m burning and if I’m getting a good workout in. You can also set goals (like workout 3 times a week), track your sleeping pattern, and is swim-proof!
4. Claw Clips
Has your claw clip ever bothered you or felt uncomfortable on your head after a long day? Then you need these claw clips from Amazon! They come in a bunch of colors and styles. These clips have a matte finish, so they don’t slip off and they’re very comfortable. It literally feels like I have nothing on my head. My hair is long and thin so it’s perfect for me, but others have said it works great with thick hair as well. Highly recommend getting them for the Summer!
5. Shampoo + Conditioner
If you read my August favorites, then you know that I’m trying to switch out my everyday beauty products with ones with clean ingredients. I’ve been using the ATTITUDE shampoo and conditioner since July and my final verdict is that I love them.
6. Beetles Gel Nails Set
To be honest, I have never tried gel nail polish until I got this kit. I knew it stays on longer than regular polish so I wanted to try it out. I saw this Beetles gel nail polish kit go viral on TikTok so I had to try it. The kit comes with everything you need to do your gel nails (refer to photo above) but it doesn’t come with acetone (necessary for removal). The first time was a little rough but by the second time, I was getting the hang of it. A tip is to use thin coats! Overall, I love it and I recommend it if you want to start doing your own gel nails at home.
Fashion Favorites
7. Allbirds Wool Runners
These Allbird shoes are heaven-sent. They are so comfortable and lightweight! Since they are made of wool they are super warm which is great because my feet are cold all the time! I love walking with them, working out, and running errands. They look so cute with jeans and everyday outfits. Definitely the best shoes I have ever had.
8. Adidas Hat
I know hats are a big trend right now, specifically baseball/dad hats. I got this Adidas all-black hat because I wanted something that can go with any outfit. Amazon has this one in a bunch of other colors. It’s adjustable and hand-washable. It’s the perfect basic essential hat and perfect for hair wash days (ladies you know what I mean).
9. H&M Cardigan
Another fitness lover essential is ankle weights. These 1-pound ankle weights are perfect for adding a little more resistance. They’re comfortable enough for everyday activities such as walking and light workouts. They can also be used on your wrists for upper body exercises. It also doesn’t hurt that they’re super cute and aesthetically pleasing. Also comes in pink and grey.
10. Adidas Hoops 2.0
Definitely my most worn pair of shoes this year. It goes with any outfit, dressed up or down. They’re comfy, lightweight, and easy to clean! I just use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and they turn out brand new every time! I love to wear these with mom jeans or a skirt with crew socks.
Book Favorites
11. It Ends With Us
This book was probably the most talked about book I have ever heard about in a long time. So the expectations were high, but they were immediately met when I started reading it. This was the second Colleen Hoover book I’ve read and once again it was amazing.
It Ends With Us is about how Lily Bloom moves away from her hometown and starts her own business in Boston. She meets a hot neurosurgeon, Ryle, and everything in her life couldn’t be better. Lily can’t shake the feeling as to why Ryle never had a relationship before her. She also can’t stop thinking about her past and her first love Atlas, a boy from her hometown. When Atlas reappears in Lily’s life she is more confused than ever.
It was such a raw and honest story about what some couples go through. I cried, I laughed, I was a rollercoaster of emotions. Definitely a 10/10 for me. I want to buy more Colleen Hoover, so if you have any recommendations let me know in the comments!
12. The Good Girl Complex
If you love drama, romance, and a little bit of *spice* then you need to read this book. Do not let the cover art confuse you, as it did me, this book is filled with drama and spice!
It’s a story about a good rich girl, Mackenzie, who meets a bad boy local named Cooper Hartley. Mac feels free and bold when she’s around Cooper. Cooper thought he would never fall for a rich girl “clone”, but Mac keeps him grounded. They both finally feel like their life is going well until Mac finds out Cooper was keeping a secret from her the whole time.
Yes, this is the whole good girl meets bad boy trope along with the rich girl meets local guy trope, but mature and not cringy. I honestly loved the drama, the characters were funny, and it was spicy. FYI, this is no cute romance book. Cooper is no “book boyfriend”! But if you like a quick drama with some spice, then I recommend it.
my rating: 8/10
13. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
TikTok was not lying when it said this book is amazing. I knew I had to pace myself when I first started reading this because I didn’t want it to end! It had me in my feelings throughout the whole book. It honestly felt like reading a real autobiography. Romance, drama, and tragedy. This is definitely a new favorite read of mine. 4.5/5 stars for me!
Shows + Movies Favorites
14. Tell Me Lies
Please note that this is not a romance show. It’s about a couple who is in an extremely toxic relationship both won’t let go of. The main guy is a narcissist, gaslighting asshole. You’ll honestly hate him from the moment he opens his mouth. The main girl is rude and has an attitude the whole time. You definitely won’t be rooting for them, but I also think it’s important we see these types of relationships on a show. Not everyone sees the signs of a toxic relationship so I hope this will help anyone who watches.
The last scene of the last episode had my jaw on the floor. The whole last episode to be honest! I honestly could not believe that happened. Such a toxic group of friends, a toxic couple, and overall a lot of drama. This show is addicting so you have been warned.
15. Fresh
If you love dark thrillers, then this one is for you! The trailer explains it all but it’s all about the horrors of modern-day dating. It was such a great mix of satire, thriller, romance (?), and a great message on what women have to go through/worry about when dating in today’s world. The acting, directing, and storyline are *chef’s kiss*.
16. Wednesday
The new Netflix show Wednesday was better than expected. Jenna Ortega did an amazing job, the storyline was entertaining, and I loved her character. It’s perfect if you love fantasy, drama, and coming-of-age shows.
Makeup Favorites
17. Maybelline Green Edition Mascara
I recently found out that waterproof mascara has a very harmful ingredient in it, so I wanted to try something with better ingredients. When I saw that Maybelline had a clean beauty line (with actual clean ingredients!) I knew I had to try it. This mascara is vegan, made with 99% natural ingredients, and works so well! It has a curved bristle wand, lightweight formula, and gives you a natural-looking lash.
I’m shocked this mascara stays on all day. I can only wear waterproof mascara because it always smudges under my eyes but this one passed the test! Although I wouldn’t nap in it, because it did come off a little lol.
18. Laura Mercier Setting Powder
Since it was my birthday month, I picked up my Sephora birthday gift. I chose the Laura Mercier setting powder and eyeshadow stick. I’ve actually never tried this infamous setting powder until now and it definitely lives up to the hype! I was using the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder for years because I thought was a dupe for this powder, but I was lied to! The Coty powder doesn’t even compare to the Laura Mercier one. I was honestly shocked at how good my under eyes looked after setting with this. Truly life-changing. I recommend choosing this as your birthday gift from Sephora if you haven’t already tried it.
19. Maybelline Lip Gloss
I talked about this in my TikTok made me buy it post and I haven’t stopped using it since I got it. I love that it doesn’t feel like a gloss, it’s more of a moisturizing oil. It smells like vanilla and coconut but it’s not overpowering. I love the big applicator and the fact that it has hyaluronic acid in it. The color I wear is Ice, basically a clear gloss but they have a ton of colors to choose from.
Skincare Favorites
20. Honest Beauty Hydrogel Cream
I have been trying this cream for over a month now and it is the absolute best. I used the Clinique dramatically different lotion for years because I thought it worked for my dry skin. Nope, I was wrong. The Honest Beauty Hydrogel Cream works like a dream. It has two hyaluronic acids in it, making it super hydrating. When you first apply it, it feels like water but settles thick like a moisturizer.
The best part about this cream is the ingredients. They are non-toxic, clean, and made without harmful parabens. It also received a 100/100 (Excellent score) on the Yuka App! An app that tells you how good or bad beauty and food products are for your health. Even my boyfriend noticed a difference in my skin. I highly recommend you try this if you have dry skin!
21. Aquaphor Lip Repair
I feel like I’ve been trying to find a good lip balm for years! I have no idea why it took me this long to finally try the Aquaphor lip balm, but it’s honestly amazing. I have dry, sensitive lips so popular brands like Burt’s Bees, Carmex, and Blistex has never worked for me. They always leave my lips even drier! The Aquaphor Lip Repair is the best one I have tried and it’s non-toxic with amazing ingredients! Highly recommend it if you have dry, chapped lips!
22. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub
Tree Hut is by far the best brand for body scrubs I have tried so far. The consistency is thick like a paste but easy to apply on the skin. I’ve tried other scrubs that don’t even compare to this one. It smells amazing, leaves my legs feeling smooth AF, and helps with ingrown hairs!
