My Current Favorites – June & July 2022

My current favorites including clean beauty products, shows I have been loving, and clothing pieces I have been wearing nonstop.

Hi, everyone! I feel like it’s been a long time since we have caught up. I accidentally missed last month’s favorites so I thought I would include them in this month’s round-up! I’m currently experimenting with new clean, non-toxic beauty products, watching new shows, and loving new clothing pieces.

July was a tough month for me. I had Covid at the beginning of the month, and I still feel like I’m recovering. I haven’t been able to work out, which is hard for me because I genuinely enjoy it. My energy has been low and I can’t seem to get it back. Since I was sick this month I couldn’t try out new things but I did enjoy some new shows! Here are my current favorites from June and July 2022.

1. Ikea Nissedal Mirror

I recently purchased the Nissedal mirror from Ikea for my room and I already love it. As you can tell it’s way bigger than my last one. It will be perfect for mirror selfies for my Instagram and Pinterest profiles! I’m very excited, to say the least. 2. Aquaphor Lip Repair

I feel like I’ve been trying to find a good lip balm for years! I have no idea why it took me this long to finally try the Aquaphor lip balm, but it’s honestly amazing. I have dry, sensitive lips so popular brands like Burt’s Bees, Carmex, and Blistex has never worked for me. They always leave my lips even drier! The Aquaphor Lip Repair is the best one I have tried and it’s non-toxic with amazing ingredients! Highly recommend it if you have dry, chapped lips!

3. White Button-Down Shirt

I have two favorite clothing pieces this month. The first is this white button-down. I love that it can be styled in so many different ways. You probably already know I’m obsessed with this shirt if you follow me on Instagram. I post casual outfit inspiration and I’ve posted a few outfits on how I style this white button-down. 4. Wild Fable Shoulder Handbag

My second favorite is this black shoulder bag. It looks small but I swear it can fit a lot of things in here! I like that I can throw my wallet and keys in here quickly because it’s just one big pocket. There is a small zippered pocket for cards or chapstick. It’s easy to hold and doesn’t slide down. This bag goes with any outfit, and comes in multiple colors!

5. The Summer I Turned Pretty (Prime Video)

Can’t lie, I binged watched this show in two days. I usually don’t like to watch shows with teenagers as the main characters because it feels like I can’t relate to them, but this one was good! The show is about a girl named Isabel (nicknamed “Belly”) who has spent every Summer since she was young at her mom’s friend’s Summer beach house. She has spent every summer hanging out with her brother and the friend’s two sons, Conrad and Jeremiah. Belly has one transformative summer where everything changes. I give it 4/5 stars. It’s cute but some scenes were a little cheesy.

6. Love Island (UK) (Hulu)

If you love reality shows about finding love, then this is perfect for you. It’s about a group of single people who move into a luxury villa in hopes of finding love. I’ve only ever seen the American version and it’s good but the UK version has more drama! They are much more blunt and straightforward. These people do not hold back! All the seasons are on Hulu, and I’m currently watching season 8. No spoilers because I’m still trying to catch up!
