My Current Favorites – March 2022
My current favorites including my go-to beauty tools, the best setting powder, plus a look into how I organize my entire life using Notion.
As March comes to an end, I wanted to share all my current favorites that are some of the best things I’ve tried in a while. I’m genuinely excited to share everything including the setting powder of my dreams, my new favorite beauty tools, and a small look into my Notion.
March 2022 Current Favorites
Facial Roller and Gua Sha
I raved about using a facial roller in the past, but I’ve never tried a gua sha. A facial roller improves blood flow, reduces puffiness, and helps with facial tension. If you ever have a headache, grab your facial roller and use the smaller side to roll on your temples back and forth. I promise it feels amazing.
As for the gua sha, I’ve seen amazing results from people on TikTok. It’s supposed to define your jawline, reduce puffiness and promote lymphatic drainage. So far, I love it but haven’t seen crazy results. It does help with jaw tension because I grind my teeth at night. Plus, it defines my cheekbones!
Finishing Touch Flawless Facial Massage Ice Roller
Another beauty tool I purchased and loved this month is an ice roller. I’ve been seeing them everywhere and since I wake up with a puffy face, I thought I should try. You simply put the ice roller (not the handle) in the freezer overnight and roll your face in the morning. At first, it feels cold but your face immediately warms up the ice roller. It’s honestly refreshing and wakes me up in the morning.
Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
Since it was my birthday month, I picked up my Sephora birthday gift. I chose the Laura Mercier setting powder and eyeshadow stick. I’ve actually never tried this infamous setting powder until now and it definitely lives up to the hype! I was using the Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder for years because I thought was a dupe for this powder, but I was lied to! The Coty powder doesn’t even compare to the Laura Mercier one. I was honestly shocked at how good my under eyes looked after setting with this. Truly life-changing. I recommend choosing this as your birthday gift from Sephora if you haven’t already tried it.
Fresh (on Hulu)
If you love dark thrillers, then this one is for you! The trailer explains it all but it’s all about the horrors of modern-day dating. It was such a great mix of satire, thriller, romance (?), and a great message on what women have to go through/worry about when dating in today’s world. The acting, directing, and storyline are *chef’s kiss*.
Notion
I have been using Notion for a couple of years now. It has helped me organize my entire life in one space. I used to have lists on my notes app, in Google Docs, or on a piece of paper somewhere. One day I got so overwhelmed by everything not being in one place, I had to find something easier. In comes Notion, and I swear my life feels more at ease. I keep everything on there like my master to-do list, my brain dump, my TBR list, my meal planner, my finances, my fitness tracker, all the projects I’m working and so much more. If you want to get started using notion here are some videos that helped me in the beginning:

I love my jade roller – really need to hop on this gua sha trend!
If you love your jade roller, then you’ll love the gua sha! I feel like a have more control with the gua sha and can really depuff and massage the face.
Lovely picks. The ice roller seems amazing!
I am in love with facial roller. It makes lots of difference.
I agree! It makes my face tighter and defines my features, love it.
It really is! It’s a nice way to wake up in the morning.
This blog is sooo pretty. I’m now putting a gua sha on my wish list… a fellow teeth-grinder here!
Thank you so much! I swear it relieves tension in my jaw!
I have definitely been thinking about trying an ice roller for my skin, especially under my eyes.
I use my ice roller in the morning to wake me up and it feels so good under the eyes, especially since I have bad sinuses!
I always hear about facial rollers so I bought a jade roller except it’s been sitting on my beauty counter for almost a year now. Haven’t even touched it. Seeing your post reminds me to use it. I mean, I might as well since it’s already there, right?
I couldn’t tell if it’s overrated but it seems like it works for you so I should try it too.
Love using my facial roller to depuff in the morning! You’ll actually feel and see a difference in your face after using it!
Great list! I find my gua sha, plus my dry facial brush, leave my skin feeling so glowy! It definitely reduces puffiness ๐
That sounds amazing!
This was really helpful! I’ve wondered about rollers and if they actually help. I’d be interested in the help for jaw tension as I’m a teeth grinder as well. I didn’t know it could help with that! Thanks for sharing ๐
My gua sha is like a little massage tool for my jawline, I love it!
What a great list of faves! I have a gua shua but the chilled roller sounds amazing – especially when it’s warm in the summer! I have yet to try Notion but seeing your positive words about it is another affirmation I need to start!!
Love my ice roller after I do my gua sha massage. My face tends to be warm after so the ice roller is so nice!
Ok, wow I am so obsessed with all of this. You’re my goals. I have been wanting to try a face roller and ice roller for so long, and I’m glad to hear you love it. I’ve also heard so much about Notion and it sounds like a dream to have everything in one place. I use my notes app every minute of the day, so Notion seems so much easier. You may have transitioned me lol.
