Spring reset routine to refresh, declutter and prep for a new season. Plus, a free checklist to help with your routine.
1. Set An Intention For Spring
With the start of the new season also comes a new mindset. Spring is the season of growth, fresh starts, and new beginnings. Take some time to figure yourself out this season. An intention is something you intend to do or be, so who do you want to be this Spring? Are you someone who wakes up earlier, walks 10k steps daily, or drinks more water? If you didn’t like your habits in the Winter, this is your chance to change them in the Spring. Write down your intention and place it somewhere you’ll see it daily.
2. Clear the Mind
Get rid of the noise this season by clearing your mind. This could be done in many ways such as journaling your thoughts, brain dumping, unfollowing people on social media who don’t benefit you anymore, etc. Let’s leave our Winter-self behind and welcome our new Spring-self.
3. Declutter Your Space
A great new way to start a new season is to declutter your space. Declutter your room, closet, bathroom, living room, kitchen, and car. Get rid of things that no longer serve your purpose. Not into that vase you got 3 years? Donate it. Hate that sweater you bought because you wanted to step out of your comfort zone but ended up never wearing it? Sell it.
4. Deep Clean Your Space
This doesn’t have to be done in a day. I usually deep clean a room one day at a time. This helps me really focus on what needs extra attention in that space. Dust, vacuum, mop, steam, scrub, wash the sheets, etc. Get the space looking brand new and sparkling clean. Going into a new season with a clean space is always a good feeling. 5. Refresh Your Space
Now it’s time for the fun part, refreshing your space. This doesn’t necessarily mean buying new things, it could mean rearranging a room, switching the duvet and pillow covers, or putting your Winter clothes into storage and bringing out your Spring clothes. Buying fresh flowers for the week can allow help with refreshing your space!

6. Revisit Your Yearly Goals
Time to visit your yearly goals. Check off any you’ve already accomplished or update them to even bigger goals. Revisiting your goals will help you stay on track, remind you why you’re working so hard and keep you focused. If you’re struggling to keep up with your goals, try breaking them down into monthly goals. For example, if your goal is to “exercise more”, your new goal could be “exercise 3x a week”. This helps it be more sustainable and you have a clear objective on how much you want to be working out.
7. Update Your Wardrobe
Buying a cute new green sweater could be just the thing you need to update your wardrobe this spring. You could also add to your Spring capsule wardrobe by buying new basics you’ll wear all season long. Maybe even getting some new trendy items will refresh your daily style!
8. Hang Out Outside
It’s finally sunny, warmer, and not snowing. Plan a day to hang out outside with no phones. Go for a hike, a day at the beach, or have a picnic at the park. You’ve been wanting sunny warmer days, so take advantage and go get some vitamin D!
9. Reset The Mind
We’ve already cleared the mind, now let’s reset it. What kind of habits do you want to implement this Spring? How can you become a better you? Words of affirmation go a long way in life and they will quite literally change your life. Practice daily self-love by saying (out loud) affirmations that boost your self-esteem, improve gratitude and help you see yourself in a more positive way. These will help reduce negative thoughts and keep you focused on positive ones. Here are some affirmations to say out loud every day:
• I am whole and complete
• I am so lucky everything always works out for me
• Everything I desire comes my way
• I am creating the life of my dreams
• I am growing into the best version of me
10. Take Care of Yourself
To complete your Spring Reset, remember to take care of yourself. Make time (often) to practice self-care, self-love, and gratitude. Self-care looks different for everyone but just make sure you are pampering yourself with love, kindness, and hot baths. Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s a non-negotiable if you want to become the best version of yourself.
I hope this Spring reset routine helps you reach your goals, become a better you, and refresh for a new season. Happy Spring, everyone!
