Sunday reset routine that is productive and relaxing. This is how to reset and recharge your life before a busy week ahead.
A Sunday reset routine is a day dedicated to recharging, regrouping, and relaxing. It’s a day where you do laundry, meal plan, grocery shop, and everything else you need to do to get ready for the week. Everyone needs at least one day to reset their life in order to prepare for a productive week. When it comes to productivity, relaxing is a must so make sure to include something light and easy in your own Sunday reset routine.
I included a guide and checklist at the end of this post so make sure to check those out!
Sunday Reset Routine
1. Wash Bedding + Sheets
Starting your Sunday with a simple task like throwing your sheets and bedding into the washer will help you get the ball rolling. I don’t know about you, but I love clean sheets and bedding. It’s such a great way to reset the week.
2. Meal Plan
Having meal ideas ready for the week will save you time and money at the grocery store. Plan your meals then make a list of the ingredients you need for the grocery store. I hate when I wait until the last minute to make something to eat because I’m usually starving by then. Trust me, planning your meals helps with future stress over what you should eat.
3. Grocery Shop
Once you have your meals planned and list ready, it’s time to grocery shop. Since you already have a list, this will save you time having to go through every aisle. Luckily nowadays, there is delivery from your local market so if you have the means to do so order your groceries and get them delivered right to your door!
4. Listen To A Podcast
Catch up on your favorite podcasts while cleaning or doing tasks around the house. This is the one time double-tasking is allowed. There are podcasts for everyone and anything now. True crime, wellness, health, productivity, and so much more! You’ll eventually find something you’ll love.
Here are my favorite podcasts.
5. Do Laundry
Having all your favorite and most worn clothing pieces clean for the week is the best way to start off a Monday morning. I pretty much wear the same jeans every week, so it’s important they are clean and ready to go!
6. Deep Clean A Room In Your Space
Deep cleaning a room once a week will help keep your space from becoming too messy. I personally only do one room a week because it can take a lot of time and effort to clean one room. Breaking it into weeks helps me save time for other tasks around the house.
7. Tidy Up Around the House
Dust the furniture, vacuum the rugs and carpets, and mop the floors. Set a timer for 20 minutes and declutter each room in your space. Sometimes your space may just need a little tidying up here and there. Organize your desk, closet, and anything else that needs some work.
8. Plan Your Week
To avoid stress throughout the week, plan your calendar ahead of time. Come up with a rough to-do list, schedule your Google Calendar, set reminders, etc. I’m completely lost without my planner. Scheduling my to-do lists helps me stay on track to complete my weekly and monthly goals.
Here is how to get your life back on track and a free daily planner.
9. Self-Care Routine
Before ending your day, make sure to spend some time on yourself. Take a bath, paint your nails, or journal. You have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others so do not miss out on your self-care and pamper routine!
10. Night Routine
It’s now the end of the day and it’s time for your nightly routine. This is your own personal routine that you do every night. Read a book, watch your favorite show, or have a cup of tea. Relax, regroup and recharge.

I used to do so many of these on a Sunday, but now I have a daughter so the chores are still there but the self care, not so much! Lovely schedule though.

This is the type of content I loooove. I’m all about setting myself up well for the week. I love meal prepping and all the things. But I especially love your idea to deep clean one room per week! This is such a different approach that I’ve never tried before but it feels so un-intimidating! Thanks for the great ideas 🙂
