The Perfect Sunday Routine to Reset Your Life + FREE CHECKLIST

Happy Monday, everyone. Today we are talking about refreshing and recharging for a new week or a new day. A Sunday Routine is so important when it comes to having a productive week. I will discuss my own routine and give you a checklist so you can create your own perfect Sunday routine!

Sunday is a “me day”. It’s a day where I get to sleep in, stay home, pamper myself, and relax and do absolutely nothing. It’s quite honestly my favorite day!

I feel like everyone should have a day like this. I will be sharing what I do to reset and recharge but I’ll also share some other ideas that might make more sense for your schedule or routine.

Remember, everyone is on a different journey and their routine might look different from yours.

Feel free to add or omit things to create your own perfect Sunday routine.

My Sunday Routine

1. Brain Dump

It’s Sunday morning, you wake up later than usual, enjoying life. Then all of a sudden your mind starts to race and think about everything you have to get done for the week โ€” what’s for dinner, when is that assignment due, how can you get everything done.

Don’t panic, brain dump.

Grab a piece of paper, your notebook, or notes on your phone, and write down everything that pops into your mind. Yup, everything. Write it down. Once it’s on paper, it feels like it’s left the mind and is now stored somewhere else. Immediately, you’ll feel a sense of relief

2. Plan The Week

Now you look at the list and might feel a bit overwhelmed, but remember you’re a boss and you get shit done. Open up your planner, Google Calendar, or whatever you use to stay organized.

This is how I stay organized.

Go over your list and prioritize which tasks need to be done first and schedule those at the beginning of the week and least important at the end.

Try doing the tasks you hate doing first so it’s out of the way and you don’t have to think about it for the rest of the week!

3. Chores, Chores, Chores

Hate them, but it’s gotta get done. To make your life easier, try writing down a list of chores that needs to be done every week, biweekly, and monthly. This will help you remember what needs to be done and what doesn’t.

4. Meal Prep

Ok, nobody has time to prepare meals for every day of the week (if you do, more power to you!). Try making dinner that lasts for two or three nights, make snacks for the week, or prepare a whole tray of roasted veggies for the week! It’s so you won’t feel stressed or overwhelmed going into a new week.

5. Pamper Routine

The hard stuff is over, now it’s time for you. Take a hot shower or bath, throw in a bath bomb or shower spray, exfoliate, shave, do a hair mask, and moisturize. Nothing like doing a whole pamper routine on a Sunday night, to be honest. It makes me feel like a whole new person! End it with your skincare routine and you’ll feel recharged and ready for the week to start.

6. Charge All Electronics

Now that you’re taken care of, make sure all your electronics are ready to go, too. Charge your laptop, Apple Watch, Air Pods, Fitbit, tablet, Ipad, Bluetooth speaker, etc. I added this to my Sunday routine because I hate when I needed something like my Fitbit to workout only to find it dead! Electronics need to be recharged, too. lol

7. Relax & Do Absolutely Nothing

My absolute favorite part of the day, doing nothing. It’s now time to chill, turn on some Netflix, have a glass of wine or tea, and just be a couch potato. Your body needs a break and trust me it’s well deserved!

Don’t feel bad that you’re scrolling on Instagram, watching reality TV, or napping. We did all the heavy lifting during the week, we got our to-do lists done, we did what we needed to do. If you didn’t, it can wait until tomorrow. No worries!

Now, relax, recharge, and enjoy some “you” time.

I hope this helped you with your Sunday routine and helped you create one! Just remember to create a routine that fits with your life and makes you happy.
