My current favorites including two romance books I loved, my go-to boots for Fall, and where to get the best affordable outfit basics.
Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday. Since it’s also the last Monday of the month, it’s time for a current favorites update! I read two Colleen Hoover books this month and I’m happy to share my reviews with you all! Also, I’ll be sharing my current fashion pieces that are affordable and good quality.
Current Favorites – October 2022
1. Ugly Love by Coleen Hoover
Ya’ll Miss Hoover does not miss! This is my third book from her and I just can’t get enough. Every book starts off strong by hooking you in and you stay hooked the whole time. This one is about a girl, Tate, who moves into her brother’s apartment to live closer to her nursing school. When she meets her brother’s best friend, Miles, she instantly falls for him. There’s only one problem, Miles isn’t looking for love and has no intentions of having a girlfriend. So they both agree on just sex, never ask about the past, and don’t expect a future.
This was one of her more spicier reads, but nothing too crazy and the story doesn’t center around it. I honestly loved the characters and FYI Miles will make you cry. I rate this one a 9/10, definitely recommend it!
2. November 9 by Colleen Hoover
I’m happy I read this one right after Ugly Love because there’s a little connection between the two! It’s a stand-alone book but I did enjoy the stories connecting so just FYI. This is about how Fallen and Ben instantly fall in love after first meeting, but the only issue is that Fallon is moving across the country that same day. They agree to meet every November 9th at the same spot and time without contacting each other throughout the year.
I loved that each chapter was a different November 9 and you get to read about what they did during that year with no contact. The ending had me absolutely shocked and caught off guard! I was honestly left in disbelief. I rate this one an 8/10, only because the characters kept making me upset with their choices LOL.
3. Black Heeled Boots
Are these not the most perfect Fall boots you’ve ever seen? I mean they are stunning, perfect sized heels and they are affordable! They’re so easy to style with jeans, dresses, or skirts. They go with any outfit because black is the go-to color. I will say, they do need an insert on the bottom because I don’t know if it’s just me but anything with heels makes my feet hurt. The plus side of wearing boots is that I can wear thick fluffy socks so they are more comfortable to walk in!
4. Basics from H&M
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with anything H&M comes out with. Their hoodies, sweatpants, and jackets are now my go-to affordable clothing basics. They always have 25% off sales if you’re a member and it’s free to sign up! I always keep some things in my cart and check them out when the sale starts. The sweatpants are super soft and warm inside. Their hoodies run a bit large but it makes them that much more comfortable. Also, their cardigans are soft and cozy, perfect for all your Fall outfits.
