Natural Summer glowing makeup. Perfect for every day. Every time I wear makeup, I literally use these products and my skin looks so glowy! I love the look of hydrated, glowing from within makeup. It’s natural and radiant. I’m obsessed. This is how I get glowy, natural makeup for the summertime.
Prep Skin
First, it starts with skincare. Lately, I’ve been reading about how ingredients in the United States’ skincare products are banned in other countries! I soon found out, almost all of the products I own have harmful ingredients. Since then, I’ve bought new products and my skin is looking SO MUCH better! So, the first step to glowing skin is to have a solid skincare routine! Make sure to include a Cleanser, Toner, Moisturizer, and Eye Cream. Also, a MUST is to exfoliate 1 or 2 times a week to get rid of dry, dead skin cells!
ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN. Despite what season we’re in, you should be wearing an SPF of around 50. This blocks the harmful sun rays from damaging your skin and prevents wrinkles and aging. I recommend staying away from harmful chemicals such as oxybenzone. Try looking for safe minerals such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. I’ve read amazing things about this EltaMD Facial Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 46.
Okay, now that we have a fresh base, let’s get into the makeup!
Eyes
After I clean my face and apply moisturizer, I go straight to the brows. I do brows first because they frame my face, which sets me up to do the rest of my face. My brows are non-existent so, step 1 is always brows! I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown to fill my brows. I start by creating a line at the bottom of my brow and then another line at the top, connecting both lines to a sharp point. I then fill it in, but not too much at the start of the brow, to create a gradient effect.
For eyes, I use bronzer and lightly blend it into my crease and underneath my lash line. Super simple! For mascara, I use the L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara. This is my second time buying this and I LOVE IT! It lasts all day, the curl lasts all day and my lashes look 10x longer/fuller!
Face
Next, I use the Tarte Shape Tape concealer to hide my dark circles, and then I set that with the Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent. I use the Sephora Collection MicroSmooth Baked Foundation Face Powder on the rest of my face because it has a slight sheen to it and gives an even base. For contour, I use the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Chocolate Soleil on my temples, underneath my jawline, and under the cheekbones.
And finally, the highlight of the show I used the Benefit Watt’s Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter. I put (A LOT) of this on the bridge of my nose, the tip of my nose, under my brow bones, tops of the cheekbones, and on my cupid’s bow! Putting a highlighter on these areas makes you look EXTRA glowy! For an extra POP add MAC Cosmetics eyeshadow in Honey Lust in the inner corner of the eyes.
Then, I added a Colourpop lipgloss that no longer exists. But you can add any nude gloss you have on hand!
That’s how I get a “summer glow” ✨ It’s light enough for everyday wear and it stays on all day!
