As the year comes to an end, it’s time to share my favorite/most used products from 2020.
This year was unexpected, to say the least. I honestly didn’t try too many new products out so some are repeats from last year’s. But I feel like that’s a good thing because they are becoming my holy grail products!
I don’t want to ramble too much, so here are my top 10 products of 2020.
10. Flawless Beauty Facial Shaver
This product has been my favorite since the day I got it. It easily and painlessly shaves any hair on the face. I use it for my upper lip, sideburns, and the middle of the brows. It’s honestly the best and it saves you time and money from going to the salon, which has been closed for most of the year.
9. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
This was so good the first time I bought it, that I had to get the biggest size. I know I always talk about this but it’s my favorite eye cream I have ever tried. It’s better than the Origins Ginzing eye cream and the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright eye cream. If you have dry under eyes, then this is a must! It’s the only eye cream that was actually moisturizing.
8. Revlon Hair Straightener
This has been my favorite hair tool to straighten, curl, and wave my hair. Getting a 1-inch straightener is honestly the only hair tool you need. I’ll be sure to show you how I do a “blowout”, straighten, curl and wave my hair with just this one tool in a future blog post. I specifically like this one because it heats up in 30 seconds and beeps when ready. It also has ceramic plates that glide through the hair without pulling and leaves my hair super smooth and shiny.
7. Adidas Hoops 2.0 Sneakers
Definitely my most worn pair of shoes this year. It goes with any outfit, dressed up or down. They’re comfy, lightweight, and easy to clean! I just use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and they turn out brand new every time! I love to wear these with mom jeans or a skirt with crew socks.
6. Fitbit
If you love working out then you need a Fitbit. I love that it tracks my steps, my workouts, and my heart rate 24/7. When I’m working out it shows how many calories you are burning, if you are burning fat or if you are in cardio, all based on your heart rate! I feel like my workouts are more efficient because I’m seeing how many calories I’m burning and if I’m getting a good workout in. You can also set goals (like workout 3 times a week), track your sleeping pattern, and is swim-proof!
5. Milk Frother

With coffee shops closed at the beginning of the year, everyone and their mother was making a whipped coffee. As a coffee lover, I of course had to try this trendy drink. I first tried making it with a whisk (never again) and then tried a hand-mixer (too much clean-up). This was the easiest to use and works great! You can also froth your milk, creamer, or use it for matcha.
4. Air Fryer
An air fryer can literally cook anything and everything. I got this as a gift one Christmas and I have been obsessed with it ever since. I will make a post on everything I make with it in a future post, but it’s honestly a smaller oven that cooks meals quicker and you don’t need any oil like frying! It makes fries, fish, chicken, kale chips, tortilla chips, burgers, tacos, taquitos, and more. This size (6qt) is great for a family of 4 but if it’s one or two people I would opt for something smaller.
3. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5
I have no idea why my skin is so dry this year but it desperately needed hydration. After doing some research, I found that hyaluronic acid is perfect for retaining moisture. Let me tell you, IT WORKS. I wet my face, put this on, and then my moisturizer. I wake the next morning and my faces feel baby soft. Will definitely be purchasing another bottle soon.
2. Silicone Facial Cleanser
This cured my acne. Okay, not cured but it helped my acne go away after only a few times of using it. I realized since my skin was so dry I needed to be exfoliating 3 times a week. I wanted something silicone because it carries fewer bacteria and is more gentle than brush bristles. The best part is that it vibrates for a deeper cleanse and a mini massage lol. Literally saved my skin and leaves my skin super soft. It also holds a charge for over a month!
1. City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
Can’t lie, I cried after reading this book. It was that good. 10/10. Easily a new favorite book. Based in the 1940’s Vivian, a spoiled rich troubled 19-year-old girl, is shipped by her parents to New York City where her life is changed forever. It was like reading a memoir of a woman living during the war. It was beautifully detailed, redefined feminism and freedom, and taught you “the world ain’t straight”.
Coming of age, comedy, romance, sex, and mistakes, this book has it all.
It’s a feminist book I’ll cherish forever.
