Easy & Effortless Hairstyles

3 easy & effortless hairstyles for when you’re in a hurry! Perfect for work or school, because each style takes less than 5 minutes!

Hi, everyone! Today I wanted to show you super easy, quick & heatless hairstyles that I’m going to be doing this summer. I always either wear my hair down or up in a clip, but I want to branch out and try something new! I decided these three hairstyles are perfect because you can do them all in less than 5 minutes!

I first curled my hair with this curling iron. (Here’s a cheaper alternative that I also use). This step is not necessary AT ALL. These hairstyles can be done with second-day curls or natural hair! My natural hair is straight and soft, which makes it hard for me to do anything with it besides keep it down! So, I love giving it some waves before I style it.

1. Tousled Ponytail

STEP 1

Start by putting your hair in a ponytail, leaving out the front pieces to frame your face. It could be a low, middle, or high pony. Whichever you prefer, I chose mid-ponytail.

STEP 2 & 3

Next, wrap a piece of hair around the ponytail to hide the hairband. Lastly, backcomb the ponytail for a more tousled look. Finished!

2. Easy Fishtail Braid

STEP 1

Loosely tie your hair into a low ponytail to either the left or right side (personal preference). Then, split the hair into two sections.

STEP 2

Take a small piece of hair from the right section and cross it in front of the left section. Then a take a piece of hair from the left section and cross it over to the right section. Continue doing this until you get a little more than half way down.

STEP 3

When you’re done braiding, slide the hair tie down the braid, and secure tightly. Lastly, fluff out the braid by pulling the braid from both sections. Take out front sections of hair, if preferred. Done!

3. 30-Second Messy Bun

STEP 1

Start by gathering all your hair to the top of your head. Then start to tie your hair into a ponytail but on the last wrap, bunch up your hair together at the top and wrap the hair tie one last time.

STEP 2

Start to form the hair into a bun by pushing the hair into the hair tie. Use bobby pins if needed, for extra security. Take out front pieces of your hair to frame your face. Done!

All these looks took me less than 5 minutes to do! Perfect to do before work, school, or even date night!ย
