From the hair product that keeps my hair shiny and soft to a new addicting show you’ll want to binge-watch. Here are the 5 things I loved this month.
I hope everyone had a relaxing, productive, happy month of May. It’s almost summer and I couldn’t be happier. I love the warmer months, especially the warmer nights. I don’t have many plans for summer but going to the beach is definitely one of them!
I wanted to share some new and old favorites of mine that I loved this month, so let’s start with an OG.
1. Coconut Nourishing Milk Anti-Breakage Serum
Not sure if I’ve mentioned this magic serum on the blog yet, but I’ve been using it for years! It adds the perfect amount of hydration to the hair without making it heavy. You add one pump to the ends of damp hair and you’re good to go. It also smells like coconuts and it’s amazing!
2. Scalp Massager Brush
I have been struggling with a dry scalp for a while and have tried everything to get rid of it. It wasn’t until I got a scalp massager brush! It feels like a mini scalp massage like the ones you get at salons. It’s known to help stimulate hair growth, help with dry scalp and get rid of product build-up. I love that it helps with flakes and leaves my scalp feeling extra clean!
3. Sheet Masks
Sheet masks save lives. If you haven’t tried sheet masks yet you are missing out. Whenever my skin is feeling dull or dry I put on a sheet mask and instantly feel refreshed and hydrated. They’re perfect after a hot summer day because your skin needs hydration after being in the sun all day.
Tip: put one in the fridge 30 minutes before applying for extra coolness.
Hit up your local Marshalls to find a ton of hydrating and brightening ones. If not you can shop some here.
4. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
The Four Agreements is a book I wish I read in high school. It has such great life lessons and wisdom to live by. It’s a great self-help book if you are on the journey towards more self-love and inner peace. I had to learn these lessons the hard way, so if you have a chance to pick this up and I promise you won’t regret it. It’s only 160 pages and less than $6 on Amazon!
5. The Show “Cruel Summer”
Waiting each week for a new episode has definitely tested my patience but has been well worth it. It was my favorite show to watch this month!
Cruel Summer is about a popular and beloved teen, Kate, that disappears without a trace. In the meantime, a shy awkward teen, Jeanette, takes over Kate’s life after she goes missing. Kate’s found alive and accuses Jeanette of seeing her kidnapping and not reporting it. Jeanette denies the accusation but still becomes the most hated person in America. Each episode focuses on the same day each year from 1993-1995. It’s definitely a teen drama but it’s so addicting!
It’s on Freeform every Tuesday at 10 pm PST or the next day on Hulu.
Those were all the things I loved this month. I would love to read some of your favorites for the month of May, so please leave them in the comments! Happy almost June, everyone!
